The Manchester Young Talent Awards are a celebration of outstanding individuals who exemplify the best attributes of Manchester's young people. All submissions (included those nominated by others) must complete the entry application below to enter the 2025 awards.

With 10 awards across hospitality, recruitment and legal, there’s something for everyone. 

 

To be nominated you must:

​​

  • Be aged between 18 and 40 inclusive at the submission date.

  • UK resident and working within/based on work in Greater Manchester*.

​

Our awards reflect the diverse community that makes up Manchester’s young professionals. We encourage applications across all races, genders, religions, identities, and experiences. 

​

Please note, there is a maximum character count of 1,000 for each section. Unsure what to write in your application? Check out our tips here.

 

All entries will be notified of the shortlist result ~5 weeks before the event.

* Greater Manchester is a metropolitan and ceremonial county in North West England comprising ten metropolitan boroughs: Manchester, Salford, Bolton, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Wigan.

Tips For Applicants

How to fill in the application

​

There is an area for filling in details of the nominating party if they are different from the person up for the award. We believe talent deserves to be recognised and all nominations whether self nominated or via a third party are accepted. 

​

  • Answer all the questions with information that is correct and truthful. 

  • There are no marks for spelling, punctuation and grammar, however please note that if a judge is not able to clearly understand your application, this could affect your judging score. 

  • Use the full word count; give as much detail as possible in your application. 

  • Do not submit links in your application as these will not be used in judging.

Key Question 1 - Describe the nominee’s role/scope/responsibilities

​

  • Describe the individual’s role or the business, team or charity project purpose – maximum 1000 characters

​​

Key Question 2 - Reasons for nomination

​

  • Explain the key reasons for the nomination in this category. Include where appropriate how the individual, business or charity project have gone above and beyond expectation and/or made an outstanding contribution to the Manchester region – maximum 1000 characters

​​

Key Question 3 - Describe the nominee’s achievements

​

  • Describe where appropriate the individual’s, business’, team’s or project’s performance metrics and achievements – maximum 1000 characters

​​

Key Question 4 - Evidence

​

  • Where appropriate and available, evidence of client/customer testimonies/feedback and previous awards won – maximum 1000 characters. Please note, a link to a LinkedIn profile will not be counted as evidence.
